Job Title: Clinical Director- Addiction Medicine

(This role will start out as heavily in person at the Danville, KY facility for the first three months, then will transition to more of a hybrid role on an in-person and work from home basis)

We are looking for a motivated, organized, and talented Clinical Director to join our team, focusing on providing leadership for the addiction counseling, peer counseling, and case management / intake functions, as well as overseeing the administrative aspects of the Primary Addiction Therapy at Home (PATH) program. Job Purpose: The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall management of the clinical and administrative functions of the substance abuse program. This includes ensuring compliance with state regulatory requirements, program development, financial management, accreditation standards, program marketing, hiring and supervising staff, and evaluating and developing program policies. Provides supervision and performance review to clinical staff, and coordinates and evaluates all program services.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs the clinical, managerial, and administrative aspects of substance abuse programs.
  • Supervises all clinical staff activities, which includes monitoring groups, individual therapy, and charting to maintain the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.
  • Measures and evaluates the effectiveness and quality of drug/alcohol rehabilitation treatment procedures to achieve standards and objectives.
  • Promotes a culture of safety for clients and employees through proper identification, proper reporting, documentation and prevention of medical errors.
  • Partners with community agencies and programs to ensure continuity in the type and level of patient care.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local standards and requirements.
  • Maintains a state of survey readiness for state, federal, or other regulatory or credentialing bodies.
  • Provides for staff development and trainings and monitors the compliance of staff credentialing.
  • Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
  • Assists in developing the departmental budget.
  • Resolves escalated issues arising from operations and coordinates with other departments when needed.
  • Works closely with the PATH Medical Director for the respective state of location to ensure effective and efficient operations and team cohesion.
  • Reports to and works closely with senior management to ensure strategic alignment with organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Meets weekly / bi-weekly with program staff.
  • Recruits, trains, and coaches departmental staff to achieve optimal performance.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Here are our MUST HAVES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Business, or related degree from a four-year college or university and three to five years of related experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensed to practice as a substance abuse counselor as defined in the state statutes

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Five to ten years director / managerial experience of an MAT program
  • Previous experience in a startup environment and / or telehealth industry
